Mandarin Teacher. Language Lover. Curious Human.

Hi! This is Fu-lan! I graduated from a business school, but later discovered my passion in teaching Chinese while working and traveling in Yellowstone National Park.

That experience led me to pursue a master’s degree in teaching Chinese as a second language at NTNU, Taiwan’s top university in the field.

Since then, I’ve spent 13 years teaching Mandarin univerities in Taiwan and Poland, including at ICLP and MTC.

My focus is on spoken Mandarin — helping learners build clear pronunciation (textbook-perfect or Taiwan-flavored — your call!), solid grammar logic, and natural conversation skills. If you're looking to speak Mandarin naturally and confidently, I’d love to help.

I use A Course in Contemporary Chinese and online content to make learning practical and engaging.

I’ve worked with students from 15+ countries, ranging from artists to engineers, and from complete beginners to high-advanced speakers.

    I’m also a language lover.

Besides Mandarin and Taiwanese, I speak English and Polish. Right now, I’m learning Spanish and Hakka.

Outside of languages, I enjoy growing plants, creating ambigrams, working on DIY projects, and dancing a bit of salsa and bachata.

If you find my hairstyle is low-maintenance — I only cut it every three years, when it’s time to donate it.
